First National Newspaper of Nepal

 Before Rana administration, there is no known history of printed newspapers in Nepal. Despite being imported by Jung Bahadur Rana during his trip to Europe, the original press wasn't put to use for printing for 58 years. Religious texts and official announcements were printed using it.

Gorkha Bharat Jeewan

In 1886 BS, a journal called Gorkha Bharat Jeewan in the Nepali language was released from Banaras. It was a monthly publication that Ram Krishna Barma oversaw. But no printed copies of this journal have yet been discovered. The first printed media in Nepal was called Sudha Sagar. From Thahiti Kathmandu, it was released every month.It began in Shrawan in the year 1955 B.C. (1898-1899).It was edited by Moti Krishna Sharma, Kapil Dev, and Pandit Naradev Pandey.  

Sudha Sagar

 In 1886 BS, from Banaras, the first newspaper in Nepali, Gorkha Bharat Jeewan, was released. Ram Krishna Barma was the editor of the monthly publication. The printed versions of this magazine have not yet been located. The first piece of printed media in Nepal was Sudha Sagar. 

Shortly after, Sudha Sagar was discontinued. The same editors, Nardev and Moti, launched Gorkhapatra in 1901 from Thahiti, Kathmandu, through Pashupat press.[
